Get Ready for Soccer’s SuperDraft 2017

The Major League Soccer SuperDraft takes place every January. It is an event in which the different MLS teams select players who have completed college or have otherwise been signed by the league. The SuperDraft began in 2000 with the merging of two drafting processes—the MLS College Draft (for players who had graduated from college) and the MLS Supplemental Draft (for other players). The SuperDraft is divided into four rounds.  Each club makes selectionswithin those rounds based on an order that is determined by the teams’ regular season and playoff positions.  The last placed team is given first choice.
